Examination for Arteriosclerosis (PWV Test)

Simultaneous measurements of examinee’s pulse waves at the arms and ankles can be made by special devices. Data from the device can accurately reflect pulse wave velocity (PWV), so as to evaluate the age of vessel to quantify the severity of arteriosclerosis and predict the risk of suffering from cardiovascular disease for the examinee.

Method of Examination

Examinee wears armbands similar to that used in blood pressure examination at arm and ankle to measure PWV of limbs. The process can be completed within 10 minutes.
